Hi Holly! Being a Club FYM member, I receive all your awesome training and advice regularly via the forums, videos, etc., however, it was good to listen to this overview (yet detailed) call with you and Patrick (you two are so cute by the way… I can feel the love!)
Thanks so much!
Great call Holly! Not only do I always learn something new, but something always sinks in deeper with each call. My favorite line: comfort will not give you results! Love it!
Oh I also want to say that Patrick is right! We are a big family! There is nothing like Club FYM! That’s SO sweet how Patrick talks about you!
Holly,
I listened to bits and pieces of the call this morning. I’ll be listening to it tonight, while I fold laundry or something, when the house is quiet.
One question came to mind while I listened. You mentioned cardio and yoga not being good enough. I practice pilates, including routines with a stability ball, bands, and just mat work. Does this “count” as resistance training? I feel the muscles the day after, especially my arms and hamstrings when I’ve worked on the ball!
Hi Holly, hi Patrick
You hit the nail on the head, as much as you know what you’re doing seems to be a waste of time you convince yourself it will change. I’ve been doing cardio for 7 years, I lost over a stone in the 1st year and then as muscle has grown and my lifestyle has changed Ive put that ‘weight’ back on. Ive had a knee operation and so I cant go on my treadmill, normally everyday I would feel I HAD to go on it else I’d put on weight, so far after over a week sat in a chair I haven’t put on a lb.
During my many years of cardio my thighs have grown, I mean inches, Ive had a health check and my body is mostly muscle infact my bodyfat is under what it should be, am I just one of those poor people who do ‘bulk up’ or is it the result of too much cardio and can I reverse this effect?
Thanks so much!
Holly I am so proud of you and I admire your passion and effort that you put in the Fit Yummy Mummy. I am in Namibia (Souther Africa) and I trust in you so much. I followed the workouts and somehow stopped since it was cold. During that time my energy levels were great, my back pains dissappeared and I could sleep like a baby.
I loved the coaching call and I am going to get back, but I need to come on board with my meal plans and I need to know the type of exercises one has to do for intervals.
I can not forget the support of club FY but i had to cancel my membership since i cant open the videos, but I will improve the situation wait and see.
