I took my son Tyler to get ice cream this afternoon.
I passed for my kettlebell workout was in the next 2 hours and I did not want to feel like crap…but I was still curious and wanted a taste…so I told him “If you cannot finish your ice cream, pass it up to me”
He was like…
“Mom!!!
When have you even known me to fail at eating ice cream!!!”
I was like…OMG, was this my child speaking to me. His expression was too cute and then I was like…wait a minute – why is the word FAIL even in his vocabulary!!!???
So I asked him if he knew what this word meant?
This is what he said…
I hope this message pulls at your heart strings and makes each and everyone of you realize the difference between success and failure.
Too often moms are so hard on themselves.
Setting unrealistic expectations…beating ourselves up when we fall short of these expectations….thinking one or maybe two slip ups means you have to go all the way back to squar one…
This just is not so!
Please know that you have the ability to achieve success each and every day – no matter how Ginormous nor how teeny tiny – what counts is that you are taking action and you are DOING something!

)
Holly, thanks for sharing this, it was an excellent reminder. Incredibly inspiring!
Thanks Tyler! It took me years to learn what you know!
Tyler is one brilliant boy! I hope that one day I will have such a smart kid! Holly, you must be so proud of him! This is a lesson that many of us should repeat frequently.
Thanks for sharing it!
This really did pull my heart’s strings. So smart and so sweet.
Haha go Tyler! That was so sweet when he gave u the kiss.
Tyler is the man. People forget how children will give you the straight truth. Usually their comments or suggestions will be the essence of the truth we seek. The problem with us as “grown adults”, even we miss the message. I am waiting on my man Tyler to do a healthy breakfast video. If I need him with a chef hat and FYM apron on I will be on the floor rolling.
