Hi. I enjoy reading ur emails you send me. I had a baby 6 months ago and the problem is I cant lose the weight. I changed the way i eat. I do cardio every other day. I walk on the treadmill and do other workouts as well. I havent lost a pound yet. I dont know what im doing wrong. Right now I weigh 183. I dont look it though. I think its alot of water weight. However, i still look pregnant. Im sad because im trying to lose weight by summer. I want to be able to wear a tank top without looking like im pregnant. My prepregnancy weight is 130. I would love to get back to there. Can you please help me?
How the heck do I get more willpower. I love to eat with my family and eat out when we do. I am having a heck of a time.
Thanks
HI Holly,
I have just the last bit of jiggle on my belly to lose and I’d be exstatic, however, I do have a diastasis. Have you ever dealt with anyone with that? I’m worried about making it bigger and don’t want to accept it either! I may have another child, so a tummy tuck isn’t for me right now. I am 5’2″ and 127 lbs. I used to be a healthy 120 and would LOVE to be there again. I am by no means skinny, I’m very muscular, so I know this is a healthy goal for me. Any advice on the diastasis would be so appreciated!
Hi Holly, I tend to hold extra fat in my lower tummy area and I always have. What are your best tips (exercise and diet) specifically for shedding belly fat? And do you know anything that is good to tighten up your skin while you’re losing weight? I have really thin skin so it doesn’t seem to tighten up on it’s own.
Thanks!!!
How soon after exercising can you eat?
As well as,

Can you advise the most effective exercises for the “tush” besides squat type exercises? Everyone is stuck on those and they just don’t work for those of us with prior knee injuries. Thanks!
Hi Holly
Was woundering what the best exersies is for a more tonner and trimmer inner and outter tighs and the lower legs as will has always had trouble loosing weight form the upper and lower tighs?
Hey Holly,
Spring goal is to get a more muscular upperbody and a more defined lower body. I had my baby 9 months ago and have gotten down to pre-pregnancy shape – lean, just starting to see my 6pack but for some reason I am still holding onto a bit too much fat on my butt and that area between the butt and hamstrings. I guess Susan Pearson would be my target body shape – her arms are AMAZING! (as well as the rest of her) I am a small woman though – 5’1 100 lbs and thin naturally.
My spring goal is to be as lean as you! I need food help, should i worry about calories? My husband says no, but I think i need to keep track of them. He wants me to do pullups too. How many pullups can you do? Should I even do them? Thanks, Tammm
Is it protein then fiber then vegetable when eating? and using vitabot should I go down one on the exercise part of it?
Hi Holly,
I have those last 10 pounds to lose and can’t seem to make them budge. I am going to Dominican Republic on April 20 and would love some help on shedding those last few pounds.
Hello Holly! i enjoy getting your newsletters. i do have one question. im 5ft 6in and weigh 134. i dont need to lose weight but tone and strengthen, but my main concern in the muffin top and love handles what will help this problem
Hi Holly,
Its nice to see someone who truely wants to help woman get back into shape after childbirth. I had twins 10 1/2 months ago and was never prepared for what the outcome of my body would be. I am back to my prepregnancy weight of 116lbs. but I still look pregnant at times and I am still dealing with loose skin on my stomach. I have started doing cardio 4 nights a week and I do variety workout videos, as well as maintain a healthy diet but do you have any suggestions or words of encouragement for loose skin (do I still have body fat in the stomach area?) I’m 21 so I am hoping that age will maybe help me, I am determined to get my stomach back without surgury and I thank you for the help.
Hi I’m emailing you on behalf of my wife. In the past year or so she has undergone IVF therapy and it has been unsuccessful. She had to take various hormones to promote the rate of success. This therapy has left her overweight, acne has broken out, sluggish, dizzy, bloated etc. I’m curious about your other program which deals with hormone health. Would it be a good fit for my wife. Doctors over hear in Korea are not good dealing with this situation. Please help us, thank you.
Hey Holly girl! So I’m on my 4th day and it’s going really well. I’m having a hard time working my meals around my work-out since it says in the book that pre and post workout meals are good to help recovery and blood sugar etc. I usually have my breakfast and then wait an hour and do resistance training or intervals and then I should have a meal right after. I find it throws my meals times off. Anything I can do for this? Also, I’m having troubles knowing how many calories I’m getting in a meal. When you post meal Ideas can you also put the calorie count on them? Good news, I’m following all the meals and LOVE love love them! Thanks again Holly,
Candis
I waitress at night from 4-10. I ususally have not eaten since 1:00 p.m. after I get home at 10:30p.m. Is it OK to eat that late at night, or should I tough it out and wait util breakfast? If it is Ok to eat late at night, What should I eat. All Protein, or what?
I do not have time to eat at work.
Thanks!
Hi Holly,
My son has milk and peanut allergies and we as a family are mostly eating dairy-free and peanut-free foods. I’m having a hard time coming up with healthy snacks and meals that are nutritionally sound to accomadate this. Any ideas? Your time and help are appreciated. Thanks.
Hey Holly~
I’ve been working out faithfully for the past year and the past month I started your program because it is geared toward ‘moms’. It is nice to see someone put a workout routine into an already busy schedule, without making it seem like we have to spend hours getting to and working out in a gym.
Anyway, sadly I’m trying to get into better shape than I havea ever been. With that said, I had a kid five and a half years ago and got upwards of 185 pounds. YIKES! Well, I’m now 130 pounds and getting toned, but I do have this loose wrinkly skin on my stomach. I am just wondering if there is anything special that I can do to target that area more, or if just following the program will get rid of that unsightly part of my body? I would like to get rid of it quick, but I know weight loss isn’t an instant thing, so I understand if there is no ‘quick-fix’.
Thank you for your time and I’m looking forward to getting through your program. What I have done of it, I love!!
Hi Holly,
Ok I’ll take you at your word. I also am a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor and a mum of 3 (7,5 and 3). I am 5.5 and weigh 8 stone. My body fat is at around 19. My stats are obviously fine but I would love to decrease my body fat to around 17 and have been trying to do this. It has not moved in several months. I teach step, Legs Bums and Tums and do several other work outs every week. Have you any further suggestions?
Regards
Jenny.
Hi Holly
As with the rest of the Fit Yummy Mummy’s I have a very hectic life! I am a single mother of two boys age 7 and 4. They are both at school so mornings are extremely hectic. I am not a morning person and as much as I try to wake up 30mins earlier to work out I end up waking up 30mins later than normal! And then when I get home from work it’s homework, dinner, bath and bedtime!
So my question is this: Normally between bathtime and bedtime I have an hour or so and I normally have a burst of energy and feel that I could possibly squeeze a workout in, but what is the latest that you can exercise? I’ve read somewhere that you should not exercise for at least 6 hours before bedtime?
What do you suggest?
P.S. My other problem is getting myself motivated but I have come to realise that it does not matter how many amazing testimonials I read or motivational books etc, I need to learn to get myself motivated to want to do it and for me that is the HARDEST PART:-(
Thanks
Carmel.
Hi Holly,
I do too enjoy your newsletters, thanks for all the great info.
I have been doing bodyweight & DB exercises for the past 12 wks,
and I can certainly feel that my abs is nicely getting shaped up..feeling toned…lost about 5cm off my waist line! However….my weight won’t budge!!!
I know that we need to stay away from the scale, and should focus on
measurements and am happy with the fact that I am getting some result but I’d also love to shed this last stubborn 10pounds off as well. (Who wouldn’t?!) So if I keep on exercise the way I do now – ofcoz with varying intensity, challenging plateau, will I ever get to the ‘ideal’ weight I wish for??? …and yes I used to be 20 pounds lighter than this in my early 20s, so I know losing 10 pounds isn’t really lots to ask for…
Thankyou and keep up the great work!
Cas

Hiya Holly
I need to lose some weight and tone up, but i lost my job in January and just cant seem to get motivated. I am married with 4 children, which are grown up now but find it really difficult to make meals that everyone will eat. Please can you help me.
Many thanks

Hi Holly,
Thanks for the opportunity to speak with you.
Question it – what exercises do I do to lose weight around my waist when I am nearly 60.
– but I can’t do push-up exercises as my shoulders are damaged.
Thanks
Rhonda
Hi Holly;
I am slowly losing weight and body fat. I am currenly at 22%. I am fighting with cellulite on my inner thighs. Will diet and exercise eliminate this?
Hi Holly,
I’ve got the hips & belly down!
Thanks for the inspiration!
Two questions: What exercises good for toning upper thighs?
What exercises do you have firming breasts?
(Mine shrunk considerably after I stopped breastfeeding.)
Please let me know!

Hi Holly,
i have been reading all the material that i have been receiving from you. Just wanted some advice from you regarding my workouts. i have justchanged my routine this week and i want to know if i am doing right or over doing it. i weigh 48kgs, am 5foot 2.5inches tall and am 34. My current workout: short burst high intensity running on the treadmill for 20mins, followed by about 45-60mins of weight training (i do one or two body parts a day). every alternate day i end my routine with about 20mins of ab workouts. My intention or rather aim is to loose about 2-3inches on my lower abs. and at the same time increase my muscle tone. would appreciate your input here.
Thank you
Anusha
Hi Holly,
First I’d like to say that I got my copy of FYM three weeks ago, and I LOVE it. My goal this spring is one inch off my waist and 1/2 an inch off my hips (measurable!).
I have tons of questions, but here are the most urgent ones:
1 – How do you adapt the system for breastfeeding? I have the good habit of not eating when I breastfeed at night, but I’m very hungry during the day and in the evening.
2- I am very near my goals and already rather skinny. So what do I do with all the voices around saying “You don’t need a diet” (including, sometimes, my own voice!)
Thanks for everything,
Iris
Hi Holly,’
My question is if I am using a Cpap breathing machine for sleep at night has it totally inflated my stomach so that excersize will be in vain? Very discouraged mom of 9
I have seen remarkable changes in my friends and am ready to see results in my attempts. I am doing ok in the eating right… no loss at the waist line

Hi Holly!
I’m going on to 18 and have been losing weight by my own unhealthy ways from 66 kg to about 53kg right now. I am 165 cm tall and I’d like to continue to shed my pounds off till 47kg.
I have been working on your nutrition tips and workouts for 2 weeks and I gained 2 kg from 51 kg. I wonder if it is normal to gain so much weight for muscles built up as I start this new type of workout?
I know I shouldn’t be discouraged and I tried very hard for these two weeks not to get on the scale. But somehow I feel insecure at times and it’s hard to convince myself I am going to melt my pounds with only 15 minutes each day. How can I get myself convinced? When can I get real results?
Also you mentioned in your quick tips that one should take in as many fruits as possible. Yet fruits have their own calories too. Should I count them in too? Certain studies seem to show that excess fruit intake might result in adverse effects. Is that true?
Thanks Holly!

hi Holly,
1)my spring fitness goals:
-lose another 5kg to get my prepregancy weight. (which was 55kg)
-get stronger arms and quicker legs (to improve my tennis)
2)I would be grateful to have your recommendation and help on how to achieve the above
3)my questions:
-I am still breast feeding my baby- he is now 4 and a half months old and all he eats all day (and night) is my milk. I have resumed exercising. Is this affecting the milk?
- 15min exercise seems very little for me…I have been playing tennis and have been into sports all my life and I NEED min 45 minutes exercise everyday to feel right…it is like I am addicted to exercising .. is this leading to overtraining? what do you think about this?
thanks in advance and looking forward to hearing from you
Brgds,
Daniela
I LOVE your body! My question would be, how can I get it?
I have about 10-15lbs to lose and it seems that I only am able to lose weight with extreme dieting. I have PCOS so I know that it is a challenge for me to lose the weight. I go to the gym regularly and work out with weights. So do you get your body from a more advanced workout routine than what’s in your book (I bought it yesterday)? What would you recommed for someone who is not a beginner and might be beyond intermediate? Do I still only use my body weight or do I add weights to the moves? Thank you so much for allowing us to ask questions!
Sara
Hey Holly,
how do i flatten my lower stomach?
and is there any exercise/food to make your butt bigger or rounder, i have a very small butt, and i hate it, I want to look nice for spring/ summer,
Thanks
I’ve set up a goal for May ’09, and had a setback due to my having to undergo gall bladder removal surgery on 3/10/09. How soon would you recommend a return to regular work outs. Last week I began a slow return to cardio on my spin cycle, starting out with 8 miles, and hopefully working back up to my 11-15 mile ‘treks’. However, I soooo miss my weight training.
By the way, would you share with us your upper body routine. I would love to have the definition you have. Keep up the great work on your site!

Hello Holly
I am not overweight at all and have a very physically active job up and down on ladders all day. I have 2 children ages 15 and 13. I am 5foot 4inches tall and am approx. 110 to 115 pounds. My arms and legs are very toned and strong but the past year I seem to be getting alittle wider around my waist and have love handles-I have never had anything like that before and I can not stand it!! I am 36 and I don’t know what to do about this. Also is pop corn alright to eat, it does have alot of fibre in it-I currently have braces and cant eat raw veggies or hard fruit for another year or so(I really miss them!!)
