Spring Back Into Fitness Fit Yummy Mummy Style

“The Fit Yummy Mummy’s are going through a big change right now.

We have a new community site!!!

The new and improved ClubFYM.com! What an exciting new change that will benefit us all!

And it is happening at the best time of the year…Spring! What an amazing time of new growth and CHANGE!

A saying us FYM’s are very fond of is ” If you always do what you have always done. You are going to get what you have always got”.

I can’t tell you how many times I have heard Holly say that the definition of insanity is to keep doing what you have always done and expect different results.

Here is one of the very first things I learned when becoming a Fit Yummy Mummy in order to finally become that healthy fit person that I always dreamed of.

I had to

A. Accept Change…..no EMBRACE change (scary though it can be at times!).

B. Step outside my comfort zone
and try something different and challenging.

C. Start thinking outside the box

Let me ask you this.

How many times have you said to yourself

“I have to get back into running” or “I have to get back into taking a walk at night” or “I just need to get back in the habit of eating salads for breakfast, lunch and dinner” (Ok maybe not breakfast YUCK!)”

Okay….Why?

Why would you want to get back into running?
Walking?
Eating like a rabbit?

If it worked so well for you the first time why would you even need to get back into it? You would still be DOING it and continuing on with your happy healthy life if it was the right lifestyle for you.

Right??

I used to try to be a runner.

I would get up at 5AM. Warm up. Stretch. Hit the road. Make it maybe 1 min before I am back to walking gasping for breath and thinking to myself “Why am I doing this again?”.

Honestly I think I would make it a total of 10 min hating it the whole time. Then I would drag myself back out of bed and repeat this process for maybe 2 weeks. Only to eventually feel like a failure in this “sure fire” way to loose weight. What happened when I felt like I failed? Well I ate lots and lots of ice cream that’s what I did!!!

Miracle of miracle’s I found Fit Yummy Mummy.

I have never felt better and never plan to look back at that girl I used to be. (Well perhaps to reflect on how far I have come!)
