Recruit Your Glutes
Every time you WALK and Perk Up Your Butt!
No more going through the motions. Make the most of your movement, especially when you take the time to go on a walk.
Take nice long strides, stepping from heel to toe, squeezing glutes as your heel hits the ground and keeping your core engaged.
Walk strong and with purpose.
I like to challenge myself to get at least 5 rounds of 100 glute activating steps at various points during my walks with Alexander.
Along with a full body strength based workout system – such as The Trouble Spot Solution – being active on a daily basis and cleaning up what you eat, you can burn more fat and sculpt your body in all the right places.
Try it and feel what a difference it makes!

Awesome information Holly. I am loving your program.
Always LOVE your tips! Thank you Holly.
Loved the shout out to the marching band/flag twirling days
I totally forgot about this walk, thanks for reminding me! I used to walk like this all the time after marching band back in the day; I’m going to start again today!
Holly,
Thank you for the tip!! I just had a couple questions for you! Little back ground on my self I am a stay at home busy momma to a 1 and 2 year old!! They are 15 months a part I know crazy right!! Well here goes i am back to my pre pregnancy weight which was not a problem for me. Although that wasn’t a great place to be! I am wanting to really kick this in gear! I am wanting to get rid of at least 30 more pounds and tone up all over! My question is is it okay to do my normal work outs from your e- book and then continue to walk my normal three miles pulling my kids in the wagon? Is this going to help or hurt me? Any pointers??
Amber – yes, living an active lifestyle is highly encouraged with your Fit Yummy Mummy fat loss system. If you are able to – walks are a great way to compliment your efforts.
THANK YOU FOR TAKING YOUR TIME TO POST THESE EXTRA VIDEOS THAT OFFER MORE TIPS. I TRULY APPRECIATE EVERY LAST ONE!
On that note – Time for me to clean and squeeze my butt!
Thank you!
Love it Holly – will incorporate this tip into my daily walks to and from school
I have a few questions for you… My husband and I are going to start trying for a family towards the end of the year and I’m not at the pre pregnancy weight that I’d like yet.. I currently weighed in today at 127.2, I am 5’5 and I workout probably between 3-5 times a week.. Interval training (for cardio) and lots of weights.. I’d like to scale down to/or between 115-118 pre-pregnancy weight.. I’m shooting to only gain 25 pounds for my pregnancy.. I plan on being very active, and not caving in to pre-packaged foods and such.. Can you please give me some tips to try and get down to where I want to be, by the time October rolls around?? Eating wise, work tips wise.. Anything really.. God Bless!
Great video – just one thing. DId you get the ball your son dropped off the balcony when you were filming?
I love how your son is in your photos! I too have my little ones at home, and my husband had my gym built in the backyard- Backyard Rooms.
Sometimes I just go in there to close the door and escape. But mostly my kids and I use it for yoga, fitness, and Zumba on the Wii!
