I do this all the time — especially comes in handy while kids are at sports practice. I just take the little kids to the playground and I get my workouts in while everyone has fun. If I didn’t find creative ways to fit in my workouts they just wouldn’t get done!

WOW! You make the pull ups look so easy! On the Picnic Table Hip Bridges, do you lower you rear all the way to the ground or just before it touches?

Nice form on everything Holly and way to crank out the pull ups. Excellent sprint race with Tyler at the end. I love doing my workouts on the playground too. :)

I agree you make pull ups look so easy, but I know how hard it is as I still bend my knees by pushups. You look so sleek, yet are so strong… I like your thinking flexibly. We can extrapolate benches to wherever we may be, and that’s a great insight I gained. thanks, Rosalie

That was awesome. The kids have a playground in the backyard, and although I have tried to reach the monkey bars, I can’t seem to even dangle for a minute. What kind of exercises can I do to strengthen my body to actually be able to do a pull up? I am doing push ups, not many but can do at least 8. I find that my low back starts to cave in(low back pain) and then can’t seem to hold my core for longer than 8. Were those triceps push ups? Cause those are really hard for me now.

    Holly ~ you rock!

I love doing my playground workouts! It’s so much fun… mind you, can’t do to many pull ups, my max is 5 ~ somthing I’m working on though!

The playground you are in looks pretty empty… I usually go and by the time I’ve started or half way through it’s got people starring… I just stay focused on my workouts. Greece isn’t known for a lot of parks and playgrounds! Let alone anything green, like trees!

Don’t think I can do some of those yet, and unfortunately, I have to be carefully with lying on the ground at our parks, as we have fire ants in Florida. However, it did give me ideas on things I can do, ways I can adapt. Thanks!
