Yes! I Take Supplements!

I choose to take supplements in order to enhance the health of my body and the ability for my body to get the most out of my workouts and my nutrition plan.

Just to be super clear – I do not take any type of pill, shake or drink to “lose weight”.

I have been there and done that.

Prior to Tyler coming into my life, I “lived” off diet pills – I think they were called herbalife – with ephedra to give me energy, fend off hunger and keep me skinny. I was all about the number on the scale and I avoided eating as much as I could to keep maintain this weight. Little did I know what I was doing to my body. I tried the shakes – they only made me want to eat more. I even tried a fat loss patch – I was excited to burn fat off my body while I sleep! Yes, I was that gullible at one time.

Now I know better.

I lived the painful consequences of my choices.

Now I know what a fit and healthy body looks like, feels like and performs like. I now weigh 15 pounds more than I was when I considered myself thin and I wouldn’t trade this for the world.

I did NOT achieve the body I have today through the help of any type of pill or shake that promised “weight loss”.

What I did was make a decision to start taking CARE of my body. I started eating – eating often and eating the right foods. I started working out the RIGHT way – keeping my body challenged in a way that made me stronger – not more tired.

I started looking into what supplements would be best for me, my goals and my body when I began seeing results from the fact that I was CHANGING the way I eat and workout.

I knew I needed some type of whole food supplement for I knew I did not eat perfectly day in and day out. I was also curious to see just how much my workout efforts would be affected if I had proper pre/post workout nutrition. Wow – was I ever surprised!

So I did all of this through study, research and plain old common sense. Yes it took some time to get here…but it does not have to be that way for you.

Everyone is looking for a reliable resource – someone they can trust – someone to say – “HEY this is what works, give it a try!”

Imagine how much time would be saved, how much frustration and heartache would be avoided if those seeking a solution listened?

I do my very best day in and day out explaining, proving, living by example of what works. This is just one more attempt to do so. Not only do I share what works when it comes to “eating right and exercising” I also dive into what you need to know about supplements.

I mention this below and will mention this again…A Healthy Body burns more fat than an unhealthy body. Focus on what you can do to make your body healthy.

My Favorite Supplements and WHY

So…..What do you need? Lean or Workout?


Both products are excellent and it depends on your goals and what you are looking for.

If you are purely looking for the best post workout meal – Workout is your answer. Prograde Workout gave me results even after I had maintained my body fat% for a good year. After a month of following my FYM workouts with Prograde workout – my body fat % dropped by 1 1/2 %.

Will it take the place of eating fruits and Veggies?

There is no substitute for eating your fruits and veggies. VGF+25 is a “supplement” – meaning it helps fills in the holes we have a hard time filling through food alone.
