12 Week New Year’s Transformation Challenge Results

The latest Fit Yummy Mummy challenge just came to a super successful end this past weekend. I have been super busy at ClubFYM reading some uplifting final essays and seeing some jaw dropping before and after photos submitted by the challenge finishers.

Over 100 amazing women finished the challenge and 9 finalists have been chosen ~ Voting will take place Monday, April 12th so get ready to vote for your favorite Fit Yummy Mummy all next week!

I also took part in this challenge right alongside the Fit Yummy Mummy’s at ClubFYM and have some updates on my Bikini Ready Results!

Here’s where I began my New Year’s Transformation Journey

My Bikini Ready Secrets And Physical Goals

January 10th

* Bikini

One fun goal is that I am headed to the Bahamas the 1st week of February so it would be cool to see a tiny bit more definition in the Ab area. This will be achieved by keeping myself challenged in my FYM workouts – because I have maintained I tend to just “get by” when I do my workouts. I also need to BE Consistent with eating supportively 90% of the time – no more than 3-4 Planned Indulgences a week.

* Pull Ups

Another physical goal is to get my Pull Ups back UP. Have not kept up with them. Performance Starting Point: 5 pull ups. By the end of 12 week challenge I will shoot for 9-10.

Starting Measurements:

Age 37

Height 5′ 4′

Weight 115

Waist 27 – right across belly button

Hips 35.5 – across the biggest part

3 Week Challenge Update

January 30th

20 days after I started the NYTC

*Bikini

I can see a visible difference in tone and definition!

Measurements:

Weight 112 – dropped 3 pounds

Waist 25″ – right across belly button – lost 2 inches

Body Fat – obviously dropped due to definition in Abs

* Pull Ups

Increased the number of full range pull ups by 2 and able to complete 25 full range, properly performed push ups in a row.

3 Week Bikini Ready Secrets Revealed!

After posting my updated results in the forums at ClubFYM, I was hit by dozens and dozens of questions wondering how the heck I did this..what are my secrets….so Here You Go!

~ Stick to Fit Yummy Mummy Workouts

Yes, I follow my own workouts. I Schedule 3 resistance training and 3 Interval training workouts each week

~ Track Challenge and Intensity

I am very guilty of just going through the motions – I only had to do Just Enough to maintain my strength levels and my overall physical appearance. This time I focused on getting the most out of each and every workout – no slacking!

~ Stay Active

FYM workouts aside, I made an effort to get up and MOVE every hour so I was not on mu bottom working all day. Paying attention to this made me realize that I tend to SIT way too long during the day. Sun salutations, getting out of the house and cleaning in short bursts were helpful to me. A pedometer is also a helpful gauge to how active you are. There were days when I only took 4,000 steps (goal is 10,000 a day).

~ Aim to Eat 10 Servings of Produce a DAY

This is one of the 3 nutritional changes I made that had a HUGE impact. Not only was I staying satisfied and energized…produce helped to control my calorie intake, produce helped to clean out my system, produce helped to eliminate cravings, produce helped to burn off the excess belly fat.

~ Cut Back Planned Indulgences

Now my goal was to eat clean 90% of the time. I did this and then some! Because I was just maintaining…I would have one too many PI’s and PI’s that were not necessarily sweets and junk food snacks…just eating more than I needed to.

I also found that my downfall is the weekends. So I scheduled PI’s for the Week – where I was less likely to go overboard – and kept my weekends clean and supportive.

What I noticed was come Monday – It was NOT a struggle to get back on board with healthy eating choices – which only created more positive momentum to keep eating clean!

I also chose PI’s that were on the supportive side, watched my portions and listened to my body.

~ I Chose to Go Caffeine Free

No lies about it – the 1st 3 days sucked! But once I got past it…I now understood the Freedom other FYMs spoke about once they broke free from caffeine.

This freedom allowed me to Truly connect with the feedback and messages my body was sending me which only helped me to make even better choices! Not sure if studies exist on this or not – but going caffiene free also helped to curb my cravings and it was so awesome to no longer battle the afternoon slump!

Anything else?
I must have been doing something more…right?

Heck yes!

~ Logging in my Progress Journal in the forums Daily

This created a level of accountability I have never had. Throughout my day, not only did I answer to me and the goals I set – but also to each and every FYM who read my journal. Thank you to everyone who supported me through this.

I also get asked…“what should I do MORE of to get faster results?”

My answer each and every time:

Be MORE Consistent with What Works!

12 Week Bikini Results

So my Bikini Ready Results and Inside Secrets were shared in ClubFYM about 9 Weeks ago….

The popular question now is….“Have you Maintained These Bikini Results?”

Wait until you see my 12 week results! I made a video to SHOW you!

    hi holly

firstly, so much congrats to you and tyler and the proud father! may this baby be a blessing for all the family.

secondly, just wanted to say, i love how passionate u are about what you do, how committed you are and how u truly believe it all. its not just about making a business and making profits, so good for you! not everyone is able to find a career that is also a big and important part of their life and which they find rewarding, so pls take a moment out of your life to thank God for such a blessing.

third, one big Q – how on earth do u eat 10x a day??? and dont fruits make u really hungry? i find that the last thing i want to eat when im starving is fruits, as it makes me even hungrier in a very short while.

fourth, congrats on your results, and i hope that one day i can look as good as you do and be as strong as you are! amen! :)

    Hi Holly

Congratulations, absolutely wonderful news and you look so happy and glowing. I’ve been doing your tummy workouts and I’m seeing differences already which is surprising as I’ve always had trouble shifting weight from that area.

Hi Holly Congratulations to you and your family. A new baby in the family is always a joy and you & Tyler look positively radiant. I also want to thank you for revealing how you went about achieving your goals since I am going to use it as my inspiration since I will be going on a Mediterranean cruise on the 14 th May, 2010. Of course I am no where near your size & fitness level but I know I will improve considerably by following your example. Thanks again
