I love my Kettlebell!

As a busy mom – this has been one of my favorite go fat burning tools.
About 4 years ago I stumbled across this sneaky little workout tool that can quickly burn belly fat, boost energy levels – like literally overnight – and completely reshape and tighten your body.

There are dozens of reasons why I love my kettlebell… here are the THREE biggest reasons.

~ Portable
~ Challenging
~ Tighten Your Tummy

The tighter tummy results have been recently highlighted in my pre and post pregnancy weight loss…not only was I able to maintain core strength – but I was surprised at how quickly I was able to melt my mommy belly and get my flat tummy back after Alexander was born!

I incorporated the kettlebell into many of my prenatal workouts which helped me maintain strength throughout my pregnancy. After Alexander was born and as soon as I had my Dr’s okay, I was able to ease right back into my kettlebell workouts.

Check out my before and after photos….

As you can see,  6 days after Alexander was born. Photo 2 is 17 weeks postpartum. Along with my supportive nutrition plan, my kettlebell workouts helped me to not only get my body back, but regain my strength and help tone and tighten my mommy belly faster than I could have imagined!

Even more exciting  – is the fact that consistency with
my workouts helped me Flatten and Tone my Tummy!

Here is a photo of my mommy tummy 8 months post baby – June 2011.

No this was not overnight  – nor was it easy.
“Anything worth having is worth working for.”

If you do some browsing you will find it was a process of steps to even GET to this point. Results like this take commitment and  hard work – but results are AB-solutely achievable : )

The kettlebell can be used anytime, anywhere which is perfect for Busy Moms who are always On The Go who only have 10-15 minutes to get a workout in.

Based on the request submitted by the busy moms I work with, I have partnered up with the world’s leading Female Kettlebell Expert – Pamela MacElree (who also took me through my Kettlebell Certification 3 years ago).

I’m very interested in learning to use a kettlebell effectively. How do you know if you have proper form and that your abs are engaged? Where do you start weight-wise and when do you increase the weight?

I think the kettlebells look like a great tool to help get the mommy belly off. I would love to try one, is there a weight one should start with?

Do you suggest varying a kettlebell workout with a dumbbell workout? Curious because I have NO weights to speak of at the moment (wasn’t about to pay to have them moved across the ocean and haven’t bought new ones yet, though they are on my agenda!).
    Thank you!

I have some kettlebell workouts from YouTube, but most are men doing the exercises. Are the same exercises good for women?

I have to admit, I have been a little slow in getting into the interval training dvd I have of yours, not because I don’t like it, I LOVE it, just because I have been a widdle lazy coach… but I am now into it and am loving the interval training…. The kettlebell dvd would be a great addition to my workouts to really whip my butt into shape! I truly appreciate and love how motivating you are Holly, it’s people like me that need people like you, so thanks :)

I do like the kettlebell workout. However, I do not do it often enough to remember good form. I took a bootcamp class and discovered form is super important. I want to do more with the kettlebell but afraid of hurting myself.

This would be perfect to add to my workouts – I’ve just started with the Transformation Kit workouts and would love the Kettlebell one too, to mix things up! What is the best weight to begin with? Do I just need 1? Thanks Holly!

I have a kettlebell and know a few of the exercises, but would be great to have a dvd of exercises instead of searching the internet.

I am really looking forward to having the kettlebell videos in my arsenal. I think that variety is really good and while I would like to know more, I really don’t know much about kettlebells.

I have never used kettlebells before, but now that I am more comfortable working out with other weights, maybe this would spice things up. Your results are amazing!

Hi Holly, wondering what kettlebell weight you recommend starting with for your dvd’s? Would it be the same as the dumbell weight I am currently using?
Can’t wait to see your new dvd’s and give them a try!

I LOVE the FYM system and have recently tried the workouts on your original Kettlebell DVD. I’m hooked!! While I am SOOOO enjoying the workouts on that DVD, I would love more. I feel that I work out the best when I use your follow-along workouts on DVD because you provide the right amount of encouragement, your pace is perfect, and you have awesome form. I would be soooo grateful for a chance to win these new Kettlebell workouts! My husband and I both work full-time outside of the home, and with work, plus taking care of our two busy children (aged 18 months and 4 years), there is really very little time for working out. This is why I LOVE FYM. I can’t wait to see these new Kettlebell workouts – thanks for all that you do for the busy moms out there (like me) who believe in your system. Awsome Holly I have a lot of belly fat which I really want to get rid off so maybe I should consider kettlebell. I have an 8 kg, would that be good enough and I am thinking of including it in my workouts which are fixed to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, would it be ok to do workout A on a Monday, workout B on a wednesday of my transformation kit and a kettlebell workout on friday?

I would love to do some kettle bell workouts. How are they so different from free weights or a medicine ball?? I have a lot to learn!

I’m excited to try the kettlebell workout. Can I use kettlebell routines instead of free-weights to accomplish my fitness goals(weight-loss)?

I am starting to have some success and seeing some good changes. If this will help with more great changes and burn more fat, I am excited to try it. I love FYM and the ability I have to fit it into my day. With 6 kids, a household to run, and going to school, that is not an easy task but FYM allows me that option. Thanks a ton Holly for all you do.

Thanks for introducing me to Kettlenbells. I had heard about them but never used them until you had intorduced hte KB swing in a workout several months ago. It is very empowering indeed! I love the variety it brings to my workouts.

I was wondering how many kettlebells a person would need. Do you “outgrow” a certain weight as you progress and become stronger, or do different exercises require slightly lighter or heavier weights? Also, are there many exercises that would require you to have two kettlebells of the same weight? I’m also curious (as others have asked) as to how different this is from your first kettlebell workout? Thanks!

I am new to this Kettlebell. I’d love to try it out! Need to lose 40+ lbs. It’d be a dream come true to lose it all in 3 months!

So excited for these DVDS to be released! I have your other KB dvd (and love it) and have had one on one training with you and Pam at the FYM Summit last summer so I am familiar with the moves. Curious on how to avoid body bruising (on wrists, fore arms and below shoulders) when working with a KB (not swings but cleaning the bell for instance). I’m sure it is my form, so what should I focus on? I welcome any tips and suggestions.

How often do you use the kettlebells? I love that they look like a quick and easy workout to get in when ever you have a free moment.
