Tyler! I hope you had a wonderful first day! My step daughter is also starting 3rd grade! She says her favorite thing is getting new school supplies and seeing her friends. My step son is starting 5th grade. He gets to swap classes this time and loves it. We went to the organic section at Kroger on Saturday and picked out lots of snacks that you suggested! We love kids’ cliff bars, yogurt tubers, fruit a bu’s, and almond butter. You are wonderful inspiration for me and my kids. Thanks to you, we love picking out healthy food! They love having “once in a while” milk just like Tyler! Thanks!

My kids (6 and 4) are both excited about friends and the playground. They love recess and p.e.. So do I! As for getting back on track, start of the semester is tough, as I am going back too. Fitting in workouts is not too big a problem as I ride my bike to school and have activity courses, but with a heavy load sometimes making healthy food choices is harder. So busy and have tendency to miss a meal studying or just sitting through lecture. Need filling healthy snacks, so I do not get so hungry that I reach for anything! Thanks-have fun at school Tyler!

Hi Tyler! Even though my twin boys are 17 years old…it seems it doesn’t change much just because they are older and going to be Seniors in high school! They, too look forward to seeing all their friends again that they didn’t have the chance to see over the summer due to being busy with college tours, baseball camps, etc. Holly, I’ve must say I’ve been pretty good about keeping up my workouts since (obviously) my children…er, I mean “young men” are driving and pretty much on their own as far as transportation and self care. Cheers Holly…you are looking so great! :-)

I am very pleased that my husband is going back to work. Now I can see my friends again without him complaining that I am at the gym instead of being happy doing nothing and drinking coffee with him… if I cannot go to the gym for my lessons.. I am not a very pleasant person. When he is on vacation, I don’t like myself very much…. I would like more variations on the excercises… because… being a grandmother, I would like to get my “old” ^^ body back into shape too… being 44

My son Steven heads back to school (4th grade) on the first and says that his favorite thing is meeting new people, meeting a new teacher, having a fresh new year with new things to do and a different way to do things. What a great positive attitude he has, just like you Tyler. What I would like is some ideas to create menus for dinners that are quick and easy, of course healthy and my children will like. We are heading into a crazy year of my husband being deployed to Germany, my starting a new job and way too much to do.

My son Trent is starting 5th grade and gets to go to a beautiful brand new school! We went to the Open House on Sunday & on Thursday evening we have Meet the Teacher Night. School starts next Monday. Trent is not excited about summer being over but is anxious to see all his friends, to try out the brand new playground, meet his new teachers and just get to be in the new building! We’re hoping for a great year and wish you one as well!!

Hi, Tyler! Hayley is starting 6th grade and her favorite part this year is starting a new school program. We homeschool and she is doing Connections Academy which is a virtual online public school. She is excited to have real teachers to talk to this year.

Enjoy the start to your ‘new’ school year!! Great to catch up with all your mates that you have not seen … new classroom, teacher, books …and if you wear a uniform like the UK or South Africa… usually new kit! Like your new back pack? …
Its a time to set new challenges, new goals… so exciting…ENJOY, as before you know you will be 18 like my youngest!!
    God Bless

Tyler is certainly looking more and more like a young man than a little boy. My son is also in 3rd grade this year, and loves it! May you have a wonderful school year. Remember to read as much as you can. When that little brother gets here, you are going to be such a good role model for him.

Good luck Tyler…I’m sure it will be a great day. My kids favorite thing was always getting to be with their friends again and getting all those new school clothes, shoes, back packs, notebooks, etc.
    Holly…you look incredible!
