As you know, Tyler is my daily source of joy, gratitude, entertainment and wisdom!
And this child sure comes up with the most insightful ideas and thoughts.
I have shared his wisdom with you in the past, well the older this kid gets – the more he gives.
Just yesterday he came to me while I was preparing dinner and said – “Mommy, you are always so busy doing, doing, doing!”
Now my first thoughts were of “doing” too much and not taking enough time to spend with my child.
Then he went on to say, “Firemen are busy putting out fires. Doctors
are busy helping people get better. Teachers are busy helping kids
learn. And Mommies are busy taking care of their families.”
All I could do at that moment was stop and drop to my knees and give
Tyler the biggest hug of the day – thanking God for blessing me with
such an amazing child.
Then I began to let his message sink in a bit deeper.
We are always doing.
We are always changing.
We are always in motion.
~ We are either moving closer TO our goals or Further away, we are never standing still.~
Take a moment to look around you.
How have your thoughts, behaviors and actions affected the direction YOU are headed?
Is this where you want to go?
Yes? What can continue to do to stay on this path?
No? What can you do to change the direction – why not now?
In honor of Tyler’s 7th Birthday
~ Since he is considered the Fit Yummy Mummy Mascot~
here is some advice to consider as you re-evaluate the path you are taking to achieving your dreams and goals…
Keep your eye on the target

Give it your all

Hit it, until you Hit it

Have FUN and don’t be afraid to get dirty in the process!
~ As Tyler says, “If you didn’t get dirty, you weren’t having fun”

PS: Tyler’s Birthday is actually tomorrow.
I have 2 BIG reasons for posting this today.
1. It will thrill him to NO end to wake up this morning and see that he is featured in ClubFYM and on the Fit Yummy Mummy today and when he gets home from school, there is no better gift than the wishes from the people who love and care about him.
2. I am sure tomorrow will be SUPER busy and I will not be online enough to give this special day the shout out it deserves.
Members of ClubFYM and Loyal Readers of the Fit Yummy Mummy Blog, Thank you, for taking the time to log on today and send your wishes to Tyler. I know you are just as busy!
I’ll be sure to take lots of photos to share his big day – oh and he has requested a Halloween Theme! He is “into” monsters! Gotta love this fearless child!
The best part – in planning and gift suggestions – Tyler’s response has been “Just surprise me”!
Have a Fantastic Friday!

Happy bday to Tyler! I was fortunate enough to meet him this past May and he’s a great kid
You certainly have much to be proud of, Holly.
By the way, the blog looks great!
Happy birthday Tyler! My youngest child, a boy too, will be 12 in eleven days. He will be a teenager in one more year. They absolutely grow up too fast. One great thing I have noticed lately in my quest to lose weight is that they have been much more health conscious themselves. My youngest daughter, forteen, informed me that she had been checking out the nutrients in her lunch at school that day. Then my son also asked me the nutrious value of something we were eating the other day. I guess I say all this to say, that I am thrilled that my desire to change is reflecting in them. My son even did exercises with me the other day. Go figure! Have a great day, and enjoy all the precious moments you have with him.

I know I’m a few days late, but have to send a late birthday greeting to such a cute happy looking boy …. reminding me how fast children grow up…. so do indeed relish every moment. My son is nearly 32 & it seems like yesterday when he was this age. I think our kids also feel proud when their parents look good & teach them how to look after themselves…. what better gift can we bestow on them for a happy healthy future.
Lastly, I loved the way he showed his first lost baby tooth & hope he left it for the tooth fairy, who always leaves a nice surprise!
Enjoy many more.
