“I’m Half My Size!”

kathyz 400x284 Im Half My Size!

“I’m half my size and I have gone from a size 12 to size 6 – woohoo!! Never been there before in my LIFE!”

Kathy’s hiking trip allowed her to reflect upon how far she has come with her Fit Yummy Mummy Transformation.

The Freedom of Losing It
by Kathy Zachry

“Two days last week my husband and I went on an overnight hiking trip to a rustic lodge which can only be reached by hiking or horseback. This is nothing unusual for us, as we have been avid hikers for almost 30 years. For this trip, we just had to pack our personal items and lunches – linens and food were provided at the lodge. So, we carried our ‘day-and-a-half’ backpacks.

It dawned on me as we were hiking that the load I was carrying on my back was probably about equal to the weight I have lost over the past year with Fit Yummy Mummy. I decided that when I got home I would weigh my pack and see how much it was.

Well, it was about 25lbs of gear in the pack.

This put a big smile on my face, because so far, I have lost about 28 lbs with Fit Yummy Mummy. It made me realize that I had been carrying a bigger load than my pack around just on my frame, for way too many years. It was so nice to be able to take that pack off and set it down and relieve the burden, and know that I’m half my size.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could simply take our extra weight off and ‘set it down’, never to pick it up again?

Well, it’s not quite as easy as that, or as fast, but, with Fit Yummy Mummy it is possible! I am so thrilled to have found a program that teaches lifelong principles for weight loss, but more importantly for good health and fitness.

I have always been a very active person, exercised all my life, but enjoyed eating too much! And I ate the wrong things…and too much of them. So, naturally, the weight adds on and on when you do that. I believe it was Sheri who said, “I learned that I cannot out-exercise my mouth.” Was that ever true for me!

While the physical burden of carrying around extra weight is tiresome, it pales in comparison to the mental burden we give ourselves when we are “heavy” or “overweight” or “fat” or “fluffy” or whatever you like to call it — you are not at your best and this is mentally self-defeating. The good news is, with Fit Yummy Mummy, you kill both those birds with one stone!

Holly has provided a formula that works – if you follow it.

I have read several blogs lately about folks wanting faster results and getting frustrated because progress is slow. Well, I have been the poster child for slow, but I have been persistent. And persistence pays.

So hang in there!

Be in it for the long haul.

Before you know it you will feel the freedom of losing your unwanted pounds too. And you will feel the freedom of reshaping your body by challenging yourself and achieving your goals. And, it’s a GREAT feeling! “

“I have belonged to a Fitness Center for 20 years, but have gotten better results with Fit Yummy Mummy over the past 10 months than I have in the past 20 years!”

Here are some of the supportive comments Kathy is receiving in ClubFYM as a result of sharing her story in the forums….

“I just have to say that Kathy is amazing. She looks beautiful and has worked quite consistently to get where she is. She had shoulder surgery smack-dab in the middle of this whole journey, but did not let that stop her. She could have given up, but she had a goal and had committed the FYM principles to her life. She modified her workouts and progressed all the while. She wasn’t going to give up because she knew she was making changes. She also saw that Holly’s program was different from anything she’d tried in the past. It works! Kathy is radiant and I am VERY proud to call her my friend.”

“Kathy! Thanks for putting this out there today! What an inspiring post! There is nothing like hiking steady on, knowing the view you will get to see is just ahead!

On a similar note, I had to go to Home Depot and get bags of compost, peat moss, and vermiculite for our garden beds Saturday. The vermiculite is very light, but the others are probably about 50-60 lb. bags. As I was loading these onto my cart, (I had to make 2 trips in my mini van to get them all) I couldn’t help but think about my 50 lbs gone and how that must have felt on my frame! Yikes!

The point being, every day we make the sometimes difficult choice to eat right and get our exercise in, is another day we lose more fat. Slow is fine. It is progress and we will get to the top if we just keep climbing!”

It’s amazing that I’m half my size.  You can do it too.

Kathy you look absolutely fantastic. What an inspiration you are. I think slow but steady is the best way to approach many things in life. I love hiking too and the backpack comparison really hit home with me. I hope I can achieve the same fabulous results you have. Keep it up you are truly beautiful inside and out.

    Congratulations Kathy!
I’ve had very similar results with FYM – I visited birch run, Michigan last weekend to do some shopping – the first time I had been there since just before learning I was pregnant in August 2007. I bought clothes this weekend that were half the size that I purchased at the previous visit! All thanks to Holly & FYM!

Congratulations again and I wish you continued success!

Wow, Kathy, this is truly inspiring indeed! 3 cheers to you. Well done & congratulations! I’ve just signed up with FYM on the 20th this month but have yet started anything. I’m still fighting this nasty disease called procastination…(sigh)…oh well….
