Flip It For Faster Fat Loss

fast fat loss flip If you are just getting fed up with a lack of results I’d like to challenge you. My challenge is that you change the way you think about what you are trying to acheive. After attending an appreciation dinner held by my amazing Chiropractor earlier this week, I was struck by a quote that was shared. By James Allen – and no I did not get it all down…but it pretty much says this:
We are willing to improve our circumstances but refuse to improve ourselves
I of course started thinking about how this applies to the women I work with on a daily basis. How everyone is SO quick to Fix The Symptoms without Ever asking WHY these symptoms exist in the first place. I am sure you can guess what happens….the cycle of frustration and failure continues for the “Fixes” are just short term band aids. Consider this….how would you feel if you went in to see your Dr. for you were having pain in your arm. You tell you Dr that it hurts every time press it. So your Dr. tells you not to press it. No more questions asked, no more solutions offered….The Problem Continues To Exist. This is how many of MANY of you are going about your fat loss efforts. For example….You belly is too fat so you desperately seek out a way to get rid of this fat. You apply quick fix after quick fix after quick fix and end up feeling like a failure for nothing is working. Want to know why? The SOLUTION lies in finding out WHY this situation exists in the First Place! Think about your chances for success. Let’s take a second look at the belly fat scenario. What If…. Instead of saying… “I need to DO something to Get RID of this belly fat!” You choose to say….“Hmmmm my belly is fat….what has changed with my lifestyle, my habits that has caused my to get to this point?” Would you have some clear answers that would lead to more successful results? ABSOLUTELY!
This is my challenge to you! Flip It! Instead of focusing on the SYMPTOMS FLIP your mindset to look at WHY these Symptoms Exist!
Notice that you are now Empowered with the information you need to Make a Difference to your results! Belly Fat Ex – you ask WHY? You tell yourself that you HAVE been eating Ice Cream every night before bed. You now know if you cut this out…you will see a loss of belly fat VS. spending another 50 bucks (or more) on the latest and greatest AB program or PILL just to be let down.
Give this a GO and post your results in the comments below!
Can’t wait to hear what a difference this makes when you get honest with yourself and start taking responsibility for your body and your quality of life. sig Flip It For Faster Fat Loss

  2. Maria says:

Yeap, i have to be honest with myself first and then only then i will be able to do something with what is around me :)
I have a fat belly because i like to eat at night and i like to eat carbs, and i like to eat a second plate of everthing. That is the truth. I need to change that, and i think , now, i know how!
    Thanks,
    Candy :)

I also know why I have the fat, because I enjoy the sweets and carbs, don’t really enjoy exercising and let everything else come before that so that I am then too tired. Although, I know all this I still can’t find the solutions to change.

I am sure glad for this information, you know we do things without checking on the consequences; this is surely an eye opner for me and i think the solution to my problem. I need to stop eating pastries and perhaps I will see a change in my tummy fat. GOOD ONE GIRL!

I know why I have belly fat and it isn’t so much what I eat but the fact that I am unable to do adequate exercising do to Fibromyalgia pain and Arthitis. I have cut out all inbetween meals snacking. I eat as many fresh fruits and veggies my budget will allow. I try to eat more protien so that I feel fuller. I am now eating six small meals a day also. I try to do Yoga every day and I use a video exercise called Melt It Away. The gentleman who made the video is an olympic swimmer and I use his 2 lb ball and his 10 min. all over exercises. But I still have belly fat. Oh yeah, did I mention I also have IBS/constipation. If I don’t eliminate several times a day I end up bloated and uncomfortable.

This is so true and I find that I do this with lots of areas in my life but not always so much with weight which is crazy as it works just as well on any area. Great post!

Great point. I have realized this before, and I´m currently “fighting to educate” myself on one of my weaknesses, just like I do with my 3 kids. You see, I workout daily, I drink lots of water, and I have implemented a really healthy diet, not only for me but for my entire family. My problem is with sweet stuff. So I have this challenge with my second daughter: if she remains on her seat while she finishes her lunch (a MAJOR challenge), she gets a sticker on the calendar; if I don´t eat aaaaalll the sweat stuff I love to eat (and which I don´t let her eat!), I get a sticker too! I hope the calendar´s “public preasure” me will help me on this one!

Holly – my wife sent this to me just now:

    Kevin -
This is just good wisdom, for all areas of struggle (self employment!!) -
looking at the cause, not the symptom.
    Teri

So I read it. It’s the topic for my September event for self-employed folks that I’m writing just today. Great testimony here from you.

I’ll follow up with you still…about being a guest on one of our classes.

I read alot of information about nutrition and exercise from you Holly as well as from Craig Ballentine. I do the Joey Atlas DVD occasionally but those are the only sources that i trust completely. I have been eating nutritious food as well as doing BW intervals and resistance training for the last 11 weeks. I have seen quite an improvement in my body but I still feel i have too much loose tummy fat and love handles. I have 5 children, I’m 40 this year, I am 5’2 and weigh about 125lbs. I don’t think i’ve lost alot of weight on the scale but I do feel i’ve lost inches. I don’t focus too much on the number on the scale rather how I fit into my clothes and how firm my body is. Can u tell me am I doing things right and how long does it take to achieve the tight firm tummy. I am feeling i may need a tummy-tuck to get rid of the excess skin. Please give me your advice. I only have one treat day a week. The other days I avoid bread, pasta, white potatoes, and rice completely. I focus on lots of veg’s and fruits as well as beans, lentils, humous, and lean meat and salmon. Hope to hear something back from you. Thanks. Jody

Very straightforward and to-the-point. Holly, your entire e-book is all about flipping one’s mindset and accepting that what was being done before isn’t working. You could say that from day 1, my mindset flipped. I’m human, and will occasionally slip but by identifying the underlying issues, I’m already a smarter and more fit yummy mummy. Can’t wait until the next post!

  12. Adona says:

I couldn’t agree with you more, Holly.

Personally, I believe we all know what we should do to reach our goals. Your program, has given all the tools that we need to reach our goals and you made it simple and clear for us to understand it. Thank you.

It is while we take the journey where we have to do a little self check every so often. Why is it that when we get really close to our goals, that we try to sabotage our efforts? Is it impatience? Fear that once we get to our goals that we might not be able to maintain it or that we are afraid that we will just regain it all back? These issues need to be address often enough to stay focus.

To help me keep myself on the positive zone, I remind myself that I am continually making progress and celebrate the little successes that I’ve made. It is so much better than going back to my old bad habits. Each little success gets me closer to my goal. This is more productive than wondering how much LONGER will it take me before I lose the belly flab.

So ladies, let us celebrate every inch and pound we lose. Let us not focus on how long it will take us to lose it. Instead, let us take daily action to get where we want to be. That it the kind of challenge worth my time.

I love this !! You are so right!! I try to tell this to so many who want to achieve a better body!! It is a mine set and we need to evaluate what we are doing to change it not go and buy pills to change us!

    Love it!

  17. Krollshop says:

I’ve always had some belly fat. However, it was at a level that was somewhat acceptable (i.e. I didn’t want to work that hard to get rid of it). However, in the 6 months after I went off my birth control pills, I have gained 30 pounds and just can’t seem to get them to budge no matter how well I eat or how much I exercise.
