If you have found yourself continually looking for something new, something different, something better …that you just may be missing out on faster results…a program that does more, to get more results….take a moment to read Maria’s insanity experience.
“Holly,
I have been missing you and ClubFYM SO very badly lately. I just wanted to share this story with you.
A couple months ago I had a friend talk me into doing the Insanity program…I was reluctant because I love my Fit Yummy Mummy workouts and I am so busy…
BUT I caved because I thought well maybe it will help me with the last 10 stubborn pounds that won’t budge.
(There’s always that glimmer of hope that some other magic will work right?)
And I had seen the infomercial and was sort of intrigued because it talked about intervals and I love them so much with your program.
So we started it.
After the first week I thought I noticed a difference in my waist. That is totally where it comes off first for me.
But I was also noticing that my body ached.
My joints hurt, and I was sick. I hadn’t been sick in forever!!! It was weird!!! And I was starving all day long. It was so hard to eat supportively.
Anyway, I kept at it. I hated the workouts! They were long and monotonous!!! AND I noticed my thighs were feeling bigger! I didn’t need that!
After month 1 we were to take a 1 week recovery which worked perfectly because I had an art retreat to go to. I still had achy joints all month long and a sinus infection that I could not kick!! Not like me at all!!!
Well after that recovery week we took our measurements and body fat % stats.
NO CHANGE whatsoever for me!!
I was pretty discouraged. We started into the month 2 workouts. But I was losing my momentum and motivation fast.
About 3 days into it I was miserable. I didn’t feel like myself. I was dragging and hurting. I started thinking up excuses to miss the workouts. I dreaded them.
In the 2+ years I have been doing Fit Yummy Mummy I have ALWAYS looked forward to my workouts. I RARELY have ever missed or skipped workouts. I LOVED THEM!!!
But now, I felt flabbier! I swear my belly was more jiggly and I know my thighs were actually bigger because the tape measure said so!!
These were not the results I was after!!
I was working way harder and longer
and moving backwards away from my goals.
Hmmm…
I quit Insanity after being into month 2 for 3 weeks. But I actually probably only worked out about 3 times during that month 2 because I kept making up excuses! It was a hard choice because I was feeling like a quitter but I knew it wasn’t moving me towards my goals.
I started immediately back into my Fit Yummy Mummy workouts. It felt great!
I loved picking up those weights again! I loved how quickly the time went by, and I loved how I could choose the intervals I wanted to do to and be done after 15 minutes.
It was like a return home.
The next day I woke up and my muscles were sore and it felt so good!! My muscles were sore, not my joints!!! I also wasn’t sick anymore. Finally able to kick my illness.
Well that was 4 weeks ago.
I have been faithfully doing the Fit Yummy Mummy workouts since then.
I am feeling great!
I have energy again!
I looked in the mirror today though and realized how flabby I had gotten in the past couple months. I have some work to do.
I got depressed. Then I opened up my email and saw your email about the Transformation Kit!
It looks amazing Holly. You have done it again!!
Fit Yummy Mummy is a truly wonderful program that works and that I can stick with forever.
Yes, I lost sight for a bit.
In a way, I’m glad I did so that I really do know now how wonderful Fit Yummy Mummy is. How it truly does work for ALL aspects of my life, and not just the exercise part.
I have more energy, I feel great from the inside out, and my immune system is strong.
Thanks Holly.
You have changed SO many lives including mine. I LOVE YOU and thank you.”

I can definitely relate
, worked out with a boxing club, they definitely do not take individual progress into account! Also felt literally sick. Quit after 3 sessions
Thank you for posting this. It helps me to see why all my attempts and constantly changing things up did not work well for me.
Wow. I needed to read that! I am constantly “program hopping” and feeling that “more must be better”.
I am so glad you posted this. It is really easy to think we should hop around to different programs but your experience shows us that we have to stick with what works, or as the old cliche goes, “Dance with the one who brung ya’.”
I can relate to your achiness! My husband and I bought P90X to try together at home and he got hurt during the 2nd workout and I was sore all the time. My knees hurt, my elbows hurt and I think I was starting to get shin splints. I also found it hard to keep up with the time committment of the workouts. I liked the workouts themselves, but they left me so sore… I kept thinking.. when will this go away!?!?
I am also in physical therapy for my back. The doctor and I determined that because of those additional strenuous workouts, my progress with PT wasn’t going as well as we would have liked. I stopped doing P90X and have made more progress with PT.
Ladies, you can overtrain and lose ground. MORE is NOT BETTER, that’s for sure!
Wecome back Maria!
like maria i am always looking for the perfect program. i don’t have any children but i’ve changed the counrty for working and i’ve gained a few pounds.i try to work every day even if sometimes it,s difficult .
what program do you recomand and how can i get it in france?(this is my country now)
i wish you very best for you ,your family and your” little “one
alina
I agree that this is the program to be in. I don’t look for other programs nearly as much as I used to. I still read about some of them but there is always something that isn’t quite right about them.
Alina, you’ll have to double check with Holly, but I’m quite sure you should be able to get Holly’s program in France. It’s such a flexible doable program. You can do it anywhere and fit it into every schedule.
The Fit Yummy Mummy workouts are the perfect combination! Holly takes such good care of us! ~Sally : )
Am I glad to read this….always trying to look at an alternate exercise program…..am sticking with FYM. Thanks Holly….your the best.
I’m a mom of 7, my oldest is 11. My abdomen has been through a lot!!! But through a supportive diet and working out the FYM way, I can actually begin to see my ab muscles. Something I couldn’t do even before my first baby. I weigh what I did when I got married 13 years ago. I’m excited! And if I can do it, I know others can. I’m busy, emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausted by the end of the day but the thought of just 15 minutes and sure results are just what I needed and I actually feel better emotionally, mentally and physically after the 15 minutes than before! Added benefit, my kids are learning the importance of eating right and exercising too.
This is a class ic example of being hoodwinged and bamboozled and egotistical. Many of us jump into these informercial programs without building a fitness foundation. You have to start slowly and progress into programs like p90x and Insanity because if you don’t you can get bad results which may include injuries. Please be aware of your fitness level before jumping into a more demanding program and do fall for the promise of fast results at the expense of your health. On a different note, you shouldn’t stick with an easy program just because it is easy… the body adapts quickly to exercise and results are stalled.
I just watched the Insanity Workout intro. Not impressed. It asks for 30 minutes EACH day, no rest days. In the second month you increase to 45 mins. each day (one video is even 55 mins – basically like going to the gym). Not to mention they force you to push your body so hard that it can’t recover. Did you notice all the “models” they used were perhaps “soft,” but not overweight. I’m sticking with FYM – it’s the most practical and do-able. Thanks, Holly!!!!
I have lost 10 lbs. on the FYM program. This is the first time that I have actually stuck to something. I also used to hop from one work-out program to another and never saw any results. FYM’s programs are easy to fit in and do, I’m never going back to anything else!! You’re the best Holly!!
You are so right, Maria! This is the best, and Holly is wonderful.
Good to see you here. We miss you.
hello! i’m not a mummy (unless you consider a bichon puppy a child!) but i can totally relate. i’m on month 2 week 4 of insanity and i absolutely dread it. month 1 i enjoyed the workouts, but now i absolutely hate them. i am working my bottom off for sore knees and little results. i miss weights, but i hate to feel like a quitter! i’m so close to finishing the program (only 5 days away) that i cannot let myself stop now. i’m not sure it’s healthy, but i feel like i always quit and i don’t want to this time! anyway, i can relate. thanks for the post! if i do quit, i will feel like i listened to my body instead of feeling like a failure.
