I am very excited to share the New Year’s
Transformation Challenge Finalists with you!

Take some time to meet these amazing women and see the results – both inside and out – that each were able to achieve in just 12 weeks.

What made this challenge unique is that each FYM chose her OWN theme.

Rather than share a long list of resolutions – which tend to be areas viewed as problems – these women were open to a new, more positive approach. Similar to the “My One Word” experiment, during this challenge the long list of changes were dumped. They instead picked ONE WORD – or even 2 or 3 Words – in order to get clarity on big plans & goals by narrowing them down into a single focus.

The purpose was to make this challenge FUN and help these ladies Maximize 2014 – Making it the BEST Year YET….for real this time!

Just over 200 women took part in a 12 Week series of thoughtfully plotted weekly assignments & Live Weekly Video Meet Ups for extra accountability and motivation. Each assignment was designed to challenge the way they think, move and nourish their bodies.

There about 50 amazing final transformations essays submitted, so to narrow it down to just 6 was quite difficult.

I was so excited to find out we were pregnant!! I was so ready to be a mom! But I had a fear that I’d never been able to shake: loosing the baby weight. I’ve seen so many women try so many things to try to get if off.

This was a fun mini challenged created to help boost fat loss and tummy flattening results as the FYMs wrapped up the 6 Week Summer Slim Down Challenge and it is much loved for it focuses in on the area we as moms want to see change the most….THE MOMMY BELLY!

A Goal Without a Deadline is Just a Dream

Set your goals in motion and create a countdown calendar.

Try out this success strategy used by the Fit Yummy Mummy’s when we start a new transformation challenge. This is a great way to track not only the progress you are making, but it also helps you stay focused.

You not only know when you will workout – you will be prepared! 

During the holidays this is a super helpful strategy for you can effectively plan around the travel and events to be sure you do not get off track.

Creating a visual countdown also makes you more mindful of the choices you make each day, knowing you have X amount of days before you try on  your results bikini for example, is a great motivator.

Plus, creating a countdown calendar is FUN!

Start by counting backwards from the start of your fat loss and body shaping goals. You can use any type of calendar – as shown in my Summer Slim Down calendar above, you can even use post its (which is a popular choice among the Fit Yummy Mummy’s).

Take The Leap…Build Your Wings

The theme of the latest Fit Yummy Mummy 10 week transformation challenge centered around stepping and even leaping out of your comfort zone for this is where true and lasting change takes place.

The ability to step and even take a LEAP is what allows you to develop the confidence & Strength to MOVE forward – despite the discomfort – to create amazing changes.

Over 260 women took part in a series of thoughtfully plotted weekly assignments, prompting them to take a RISK and experience the Results of testing your self-imposed limits.

One of the BIGGEST tasks – NO SCALE. For 10 weeks, they learned how to identify and embrace an entirely NEW way of measuring results and achievements.

As you will soon see ~ this step outside of the comfort zone paid off big time!

It is hard for me to describe the amazing changes in my life in the past 10 months.  I have dedicated myself to a new way of thinking about food, a new way of thinking about exercise and a new way of thinking about my body. 

Since the end of 2011, I have lost over 30 pounds of fat and more than 20 total inches!!

After gaining 55 lbs with my second pregnancy last year, I had some work to do to get my body back after delivering October 2011. As a former Cardio Queen, I had to take a new approach to my workouts in order to get the results I was after. FYM has not only transformed my body, but my attitude about myself, food and exercise as well.  I used to be a long distance runner, but now I LOVE my FYM WOs so much more!

By following the FYM Workouts, Trouble Spot Solution and the Workouts of the Month at ClubFYM, I dropped 4 pants sizes and over 40 lbs in 7 short months.

The start of the FYM Fall Transformation Challenge is JUST around the corner. Day One is Monday, September 3rd and the doors to get registered will open up later this afternoon at ClubFYM.com.

Theme is “Step Out of Your Comfort Zone” – for this is where change happens.

I love incorporating quotes during challenges to serve as reminders and even mantras to help moms stay on track and this one resonated with me – especially after all I experienced and shared with the FYMs during our Fitness Adventure in Colorado a couple weeks ago.

While I have my own thoughts on what this means to me – I am reaching out to get your thoughts so I may create an even more powerful transformation challenge experience – and in turn my help to spark something inside of YOU to take the risk – take action and make a positive difference with your body shaping goals.
