Brand New Bikini Body at Age 40!

I haven’t bought a bikini in 20 years!

More than thinner thighs, the ability to banish cellulite and flatten her mommy belly ~ Serena has discovered Confidence and a brand new bikini body at age 40!

“After having my 4 beautiful children and just turning 40 I never thought I could get away with wearing a bikini again, but after taking and seeing the photos I think maybe I can.

This has been such a journey!

Ten months ago I would never have believed I could look as slim and more toned than I did ten years ago at 30 and heading towards the same measurements I had ten years before that at 20, and that is after having 4 gorgeous children.

I have kept a small book with my measurements in over the last 20 years, previously to Fit Yummy Mummy it was a small book of discouragement, dieting and failure.

Now it is a book of encouragement, goal setting and inspiration.

Through Holly’s wisdom and her generosity of sharing advice from others I have gained so many useful tools that I am well on my way to my long term goals.

My goals during the Summer Slim Down Challenge were:

- To continue to eat healthy and become more organised to keep planned indulgences to three times a week not more! – Achieved!

- To up my weights in my resistance training to become stronger – Achieved and ongoing!
I have doubled my weights over the last 12 weeks and shocked myself on Friday when I did 4 sets of 10 full push ups which I have struggled with for so long!

- To make my interval training more intense – Achieving!

- To keep a workout journal and try to improve on something every workout – Achieved!
This I found so beneficial, this I think has definitely been a key to becoming stronger.

- To schedule in more time for me – Achieving!

My Physical Results

Since November 2008 lost a total of 12.5 pounds and over 15 inches!

Waist 32″ … 25.25″
Butt 39″ …. 35.5″
Thighs 22″ … 19.5″

Where Serena is today:

My current goals for the current Fall Get Back to Fit challenge are:

- Maintaining my healthy lifestyle, continuing with healthy nutrition and exercise

- Increasing my strength and improving my fitness through increasing my weights in my resistance training and increasing my intensity in my interval training

- Aiming to see more muscle definition

- Finding more time for me

When I reflect upon the change within me it has been a continual positive process over the last ten months since initially finding Fit Yummy Mummy. My self doubt and indecision are becoming a thing of the past and my self esteem and self confidence are at a healthy level and helping me to make goals for my future and having the confidence that I can achieve them.

I look forward to continuing on this journey.

I know the changes may become less dramatic physically as I reach my goals but maintaining a healthy and strong body both physically and mentally are something I know I can achieve using the Fit Yummy Mummy methods and tools.

Thank you Holly for your advice and the support network at ClubFYM you have initiated, it has truly been live changing.

Wow! Your starting measurements are almost my exact measurements right now. I’m on my 10th week and so encouraged by your success. When I saw that you’ve been doing this 10 months, I realized that I need to be patient and keep pressing on to success! Thank you!!!

I, too, am so astounded. Serena looks smokin’ hot. I am about her height and my measurements are slightly more than her “before” measurements. I am 8 weeks into this and this gave me the courage to keep at it. I am glad she mentioned it took 10 months because although I feel stronger, I feel like I am not looking that different yet. I guess persistence and commitment are the key.
