My post today relates to everyone whether or not you celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday.
It is essential that each of you take the time to reflect and celebrate all that makes you and your life unique, fortunate, accomplished and blessed.
It’s an attitude of Gratitude, and I am grateful for….
~ My son, Tyler
There is no greater joy in life than that of a child.
From his belly laughs, to his “Mom, I have a Question…”, to his soft kisses. He fills me up with so much pride and love like I have never felt before. I am so VERY Thankful for his Health – after his seizure April 2008 - my world stopped. Not exactly the experience you want to have in order to Get The Message that life is Precious and we must cherish each and every day….however, Tyler has been A-Okay from that day on and we will not forget!
~ My Husband Patrick
This is so cliche but he is my rock. He came into my life at a time where I was unsure of anything – he believed in me when I did not believe in myself – he persevered and stood by my side through many difficult situations, he opened his heart and his life to Tyler and has helped us live the life we have always dreamed of.
~ My Mom!
Quick shout out that she turned 68 on Tues. Nov 24th and I cannot wait to see her to celebrate with her this Friday! From a very young age my mom ALWAYS believed in me – would tell me that no matter what I would be a success! She taught me the values of hard work. She taught me how to be so Dang Energetic! I also learned that no matter WHAT life threw at you – there was always a solution.
~ My Dad
His talent, his creativity, his ability to dream big..and for his love!
~ Having friends who support my highest good
- Having the opportunity to give to others
– Sharing the most unique online friendship with all the Fit Yummy Mummy’s
It is time to Be Grateful
You can have all the success in the world – a loving family, a nice home, a cool car, an amazing body……but if you are not aware of the happiness, fun and bliss this gives you, then despite your outer circumstances, your life will feel meaningless and empty.
At any moment – no matter how challenging those moments may appear to be — you can choose to stop, breathe and create gratitude, by asking these four simple questions (written by Coco Fossland)
1. What complaint, belief, or excuse can I surrender right now to feel closer to gratitude?
2. What can I be grateful for right now?
3. What is the lesson or wisdom of gratitude at this moment?
4. What action can I take right now to let in the feeling of gratitude?
Abraham-Hicks says:
“Every time you appreciate something, every time you praise something, every time you feel good about something, you are telling the Universe: ‘More of this, please.’
You need never make another verbal statement of this intent, and if you are mostly in a state of appreciation, all good things will flow to you.”
What could be more powerful than that?
Do you have an attitude of Gratitude?
What are you grateful for?

Each of us, has literally, a never-ending stream of reasons to be grateful.
Create your list today ~ Feel free to post it below!
Enjoy this beautiful day and all it has to offer!

I am most thankful for the life that GOD has given me. Although my path through life has been bumpy at times, and wrong decisions were made, GOD has guided me back and has shown me through his work; his LOVE for me. Again, Again and Again. He has blessed me with loving and caring family and friends. I have learned to pray for peace & not patience. So pray for peace. Peace be with each and every one of you.

Hi Holly!
Thanks for sharing your gratitude. I’m new here at FYM and as a matter of fact, I just got done with a FYM workout.
I’m grateful for so many things in my life that it’s almost too much to list. But, most of I’m grateful for the opportunity to wake up each day and start the day anew no matter what happened the day before.
Thanks for all you do and Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to you Holly, all your loved ones and to all the FYMs. I am overwhelmingly grateful to God for my loving family and friends, 3 healthy beautiful daughters, my awesome husband and our home. I thank God for the strength, courage and lessons learned through trials and triumphs.
I am grateful for my family (Kevin, Julianne, Hunter, and our soon-to-be-born daughter), our health, our loved ones & their health. We are so blessed – it’s unbelievable! Most of all, I thank God. Without Him, none of this would be ours!
I am grateful that I am not destitute (even though I am in between jobs at the moment).
We do not have Thanksgiving in our region but that doesn’t mean we can’t be grateful for something every day – for big and small stuff, eg. like electricity and piped water.
I am grateful that I can walk and run (even with a creaking knee).
I am grateful for the coming blessings in my life and the bright future ahead of me!
God bless all Your creations!!
I am thankful for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I’m thankful that I live in a free country where we can worship and celebrate without persecution. I’m thankful for the many soldiers that are fighting to protect my freedom at this very moment. God bless all of them! I’m thankful for my family and friends. I’m thankful for the journey God has so richly blessed me with. I pray I will never take it for granted.
Where to start?! I have so much to be thankful for… thanks be to God!…my health and the good health of my family, my home which provides warmth and shelter, my kids who teach me great daily lessons and keep me on my toes, and for my husband, who works hard to be a good provider, spouse, friend and father. And I’m thankful for my mom.. who at 17 years old found her self pregnant with me and didn’t abort or give me up for adoption. She has shown me what it means to be strong, giving and unselfish and is a wonderful, fun and loving grandmother.

My Dad introduced me to my Saviour and to the Bible at age 5. These have saved me a lot of problems, though not all problems. Also I love having the Internet, too. And I live alone, so my two purring, responsive cats are real blessings.

I’m thankful to God for everything, and for my country where we are free, for a warm house that we can afford to heat. I’m thankful for a milder winter after 4 brutal ones. I’m thankful for my family, children, health, husband, for a good education and access to material. For the Internet, for a strong healthy body and Fit Yummy Mummy, for plenty of food and the wherewithal to cook it and store it. For electricity, refrigeration, running water, and modern appliances that make life more efficient and more fun I must say. For music because it makes my heart sing. And for extended family and friends. And for clean laundry. For quilting and good books. Basically, I’m thankful for everything.
Wow Holly, this is amazing. It is my first experience of openly declaring gratitude on the net and sad to say we do not celebrate Thanksgiving Day all over the world but it is a lovely practice – to stop and say thank you. I am thankful for my wonderful and supportive husband, my three lovely and growing up children, my running club, my sport mates in swimming, my home, my FYM friends online and support community, all the food we have, life’s experiences good and bad, my in-laws and life in general. Most of all I am thankful to God Almighty for keeping us alive and waking up to a new day. Amen.
