Post Baby Body Fat Loss Update!

I’m excited to share that just about 6 months after having Baby Alexander, I reached my pre-baby weight!

The photo above is a quick snap shot of me just before he was born – I was 38 weeks in this one.

The following photos show Day 6 postpartum side by side with my 6 Month Post Baby Body¬†“After” photos.

Now, I’ve been sharing my post baby transformation in the forums of ClubFYM and I have to tell you…..this has been one of THE most helpful strategies I have implemented into my Post Baby Body fat loss plan.

Workouts and nutrition aside (for these are the obvious fat loss factors) I was unable to appreciate the sheer power of having a support system and the accountability that comes along with it until I was placed on the receiving end.

Thank you Fit Yummy Mummy”s!!!

I actually established the habit of posting the steps I was taking WHILE I was pregnant for this time around I was determined to do it RIGHT (vs gaining 50 pounds like I did with Tyler). It was then natural to continue to post updates after Alexander’s arrival.

The past 6 months have been such a blessing – not only getting to share Alexander with everyone, but also getting to know me and my body in a completely different way and thus developing a whole new level of respect for what a woman’s body is capable of – which is another super important reason I made every effort to track my progress so I could pass along the helpful tips and strategies to YOU!

Today, I’m sharing my results and over the next couple weeks I’ll be outlining steps you can take to get YOUR body back after baby….and for many moms, it’s an even BETTER Body!

My Before Photo is Day 6 out of the hospital and “After” Photo is 6 Months (taken just a couple weeks ago!)

weight 131….115

waist 32.75…26 – bye bye over 6 inches off belly

hips 39….34.5 – see ya over ’bout 5 inches off butt

16 pounds removed!

Total weight gained throughout my pregnancy was 31 pounds- I weighed 146 the day we went to the hospital.

And yes – I do say “After” in quotes for now that the post baby body weight is GONE, my new focus is regaining my pre-baby strength PLUS the added tone and definition that comes with the achievement of this goal!

Which is also one of the reasons I am creating the Mommy Belly Makeover series!

  1. Holly,
What a great example you are! I love your commitment to what you believe in, and the results we can all see in your body are simply oustanding! Keep on being such an encouragement to all of us!

  2. You look fantastic, Holly. Way to go! Even though you didn’t gain tons of weight while pregnant, it is still amazing to see how it spreads all over the body – not just in the belly. Along with the 16 gone and the inches lost, now you have a beautiful son that made every ounce and inch worth it. Congratulations!!

  3. I thought how beautiful you looked in your 6 days after was taken , it shows us it is not all after a birth you have to work at keeping fit and well, you have taken care of your self during your 9 months . You look fantastic in 6months and your darling son too. CONGRATULATIONS TO A GREAT FYM.

  4. I’m glad that we were able to inspire and help you, Holly, just like you have done for us! Congratulations on getting your abs back. :) You look vunderful, Dahling!! xoxo

  5. You’re such an inspiration, not only for already-moms, but also for me, a mommy-to-be! Your example shows that you don#t have to become a fatty just because you’re having children and that the saying about the mommy-belly “it comes 9 month and it goes 9 month” is just not necessarily true. Thank you!

  6. Amazing, Holly! You are living proof that your system works. Thank you for continually sharing your journey with us and making this so real!

  9. Wow, Holly you look amazing, especially knowing that your body is post 2 children and within 6 months of the last birth. I’m in awe of your focus & dedication. You are inspiring to us all. Thank you

  10. You are all so sweet and supportive – thank YOU!

During my 1st trimester I did eat a lot more grains for these were the carbs my body craved and needed.
Just made the most supportive choices.

As for Dairy – nothing more than cottage cheese here and there and Greek Yogurt.

I really just continued to eat clean – sticking to protein, produce and healthy fats with every meal for this is what made me feel my best and of course helped to create a healthy environment in which my baby would grow.

  11. Wow, Holly!! You look identical to your bikini ready results pics before you became pg. That’s amazing in only 6 mos!! You’re such an inspiration!!

  12. OMG! You are just incredible…If this just doesn’t say it all I don’t know what does. As if you don’t know you “Totally Rock Holly”. You pracitce what you preach and the results just speak volumes. You are an incredible inspiration and deep source of correct information and instruction this world needs for REAL LIFE! You are a MOM that is doing it all. Thank you for your Love, hard work, determination, dedicaiton and sacrifice you make for us all. Have an Early Happy Mother’s Day Holly from my Family to yours!
