The start of the FYM Fall Transformation Challenge is JUST around the corner. Day One is Monday, September 3rd and the doors to get registered will open up later this afternoon at ClubFYM.com.
Theme is “Step Out of Your Comfort Zone” – for this is where change happens.
I love incorporating quotes during challenges to serve as reminders and even mantras to help moms stay on track and this one resonated with me – especially after all I experienced and shared with the FYMs during our Fitness Adventure in Colorado a couple weeks ago.
While I have my own thoughts on what this means to me – I am reaching out to get your thoughts so I may create an even more powerful transformation challenge experience – and in turn my help to spark something inside of YOU to take the risk – take action and make a positive difference with your body shaping goals.

Join Me In a 21 Day Lunch Box Challenge!
You are invited to join the 21 Day Lunch Box Challenge taking place over on the Fit Yummy Mummy Facebook Page.
Since the 1st week back to school was a rough draft, today Tyler and I are reflecting on last week’s experience and coming up with strategies and plans to have in place so we have a successful week two.
One of the strategies we are focusing on is Packing a Lunch Box for school lunch.
Overnight Oatmeal is the Perfect Breakfast
for Busy Mornings
This is a fabulous variation on the typical Overnight Oats recipe.
The trick to this super fast, filling and energizing breakfast is to prepare it the night before.
Rather than simply measuring out a serving of uncooked rolled oats and adding plain old water or milk, try whipping up one of your favorite smoothie recipes and adding THIS as your liquid. Place in refrigerator to soak up all the flavor and goodness so when you wake in the morning, all you have to do is stir and add a topping or two.
Pour Berry Blend Smoothie Over Your Quinoa
Our Back to School rough draft week, is proving to be quite an experiment.
After a quite a lazy summer cooking-wise, I’ve had the desire to get back into the kitchen and get creative about the meals I am making for the boys. My goal is to get some different foods in front of them with a twist on flavors and textures.
Yesterday morning I came up with the idea to pour what was left in from a Green Smoothie I had made, over a serving of quinoa – wallah… Continue reading
How To Make a Green Smoothie in a Magic Bullet
One of my favorite Busy Morning Back To School Breakfast Tips is to Sip a Green Smoothie as I get the morning started.
Trouble was in making my Green Smoothie in my Magic Bullet, I found that ingredients get all crowded – so I tried something different and it totally worked. Continue reading
Tyler is officially a 5th Grader!
It’s Back to School Season!
And I’m having a moment…looking back over the past 3 years of “first day” photos since we moved to Louisville…
This is what I had for my Anniversary Dinner!
Yep – a Cowboy Ribeye is Huge and OH so Delicious!
Patrick and I were finally able to carve out an evening to go out and celebrate our 7 year anniversary (which was August 12th) at Ruth’s Chris Steak House here in Louisville.
Sun Dried Tomato Quinoa
One of the Yummiest dinners enjoyed in our cabin at Grand Lake, CO (thanks to our personal
chef, Terry) included a side of sun dried tomato quinoa.
Have you ever tried Quinoa?
So, what IS Quinoa (pronounced KEEN-wah)?
Quinoa is a grain that comes from the Andes Mountains of South America, okay technically it’s not a true grain for it is the seed of the Goosefoot plant.
“I have more results in 12 days
than I have from the last 2 transformation challenges!”
This is what the moms are saying after taking part in the Tighter Tummy in 12 Days mini challenge in the forums at ClubFYM . This was a fun event I created to help boost their fat loss results as they wrapped up the 6 Week Summer Slim Down and is much loved for it focuses in on the area we as moms want to see change the most….THE MOMMY BELLY!
