Love Chocolate?

Me too – its just that chocolate is not so helpful when it comes to making progress toward fat loss goals.

Yes, I too have cravings – especially around the holidays. But there is a way to enjoy chocolate and still achieve fat loss!

As you may have heard, Fit Yummy Mummy is celebrating a 4 year anniversary!

In celebration, I have completely revised the original Fit Yummy Mummy Fat Loss handbook that was released 4 years ago – November 2007 – including a new downloadable handbook, videos and extra fat loss resources. ClubFYM has also undergone many improvements all to enhance the level of coaching and support that is offered. I count my blessings every day to be a part of such an amazing community of women.

Halloween is the start of the Holiday Season as well as the onset of the dreaded “holiday weight gain”. How could it NOT be with all the sugary treats that accompany the celebrations.

It is quite common to hang on to the treats collected on Halloween night to have on hand as treats for the kids or even for you – time to stop TRICKING yourself.

First – our children do NOT need to be rewarded with candy.

Second – yes the Halloween candies you eat even when no one sees you still count – so if you are tired of the “stubborn pounds’ then now is the time to STOP adding TO them.

It’s time to Clear away the Candy so you can stay on the path to  Fat Loss.

Here are 3 Halloween Candy TRICKS to help you get started.

#1 Donate

- To the Military. Children can send extra candy along with a card to personally say “Thank you” and show appreciation for the service of our troops.

Check your area for specific programs or go online to OperationGratitude.com.

- To a Nursing Home. Take your collection of candies to your local nursing home. Sharing these sweet treats with the elderly is a great way to put a smile on their face.

#2 Decorate

Sort candies into the ones that will make the best decorations for holiday crafts – such as the creation of a gingerbread house or a candy wreath – spray with shellac to prevent tasting while creating.

Or just bag it all up and save for the next birthday party. Piles of candy are just the perfect filler for a party pinata.

Our Favorite of the 3 Halloween Candy Tricks…

#3 Halloween Fairy

When the trick or treating is all over, spread the candy out on the kitchen table and have your child choose a few goodies he/she would like to keep and eat. Leave the rest of the candy in the middle of the kitchen table for the Halloween Fairy to take away. When your child wakes in the morning, the candy is gone and a surprise is sitting in its place.

No matter what you choose – choose to LOSE! Get rid of these empty calorie, holiday pound packing treats and give yourself the chance to be successful in staying fit this holiday season.
