I take whole wheat parathas (unleavened bread) stuffed with vegetables and spices and they keep well for many days in a cool bag.

EGGS, few almonds, a piece of melon cut up or an apple. I keep in my drawer Fiber One and Dove dark chocolate. Most days of the week I bring tuna salad, chicken salad, or ham, turkey and Swiss cheese on a 100 calorie multi grain bread.

At the office I keep a mini blender to make protein shakes.

Lately for a quick satisfying snack an egg white with olive oil, salt and pepper, a piece of melon and about 1/2 c fiber one with a cup of green tea fills me up!

on road trips we always bring homemade sandwiches, fruits, veggies, Kashi granola bars, and lots of water. We always try to get a hotel with a fridge and when we get there we find the grocery store and stock it with healthy foods. we have breakfast in the room and bring snacks and lunches along. Lately we have also tried to get a kitchenette as well to cook most of the dinners there.

I have pretty much everything listed above...especially love apples/bananas with nut butter of some kind. I also like to pack small baggies of dry oatmeal with various mixings (dried fruit, nuts, flax) and protein powder. You only need to add hot water which you can get at any convenience store.

Our family's favorites are string cheese (always!), fresh and dried fruit, almonds, carrots, V-8, protein pretzels (for the kids), protein powder (packaged in individual servings for a quick shake up with water), and a few protein bars, which are a bit of an indulgence without blowing it nutritionally. Feeding the kids our "car picnics" save time, money, calories, and keep the kids busy while on the road.

I always pack my fav yogurt dip which can also be used as salad dressing and at fast food places I can use my dressing or dip and most places have grilled chicken now and I just throw away the bun. I also travel with protein powder which can be mixed with water, nuts like almonds and walnuts and apples and carrot sticks. I take oatmeal, other fruit and my milk and cheese for while at someone else's home. if at a hotel we try to find those that have fridges and often have coffee makers for boiling water or better yet have a microwave. And I don't worry if they have comments.

I don't travel much but as a Soldier I am in the field and find myself being forced into unhealthy food choice situations. I try to bring protien bars with me and focus on the fruits and veggies provided vs the starches and fried meats.
